Cam & Valve Train

Valve trains and the associated camshafts are operated by a series of moving parts, from the pushrods and lifters to the belts and chains, to facilitate the smooth-running of your vehicle. Without all of these parts working in unison, certain functions simply will not work. Take the air conditioning system, for instance. If the thermal expansion valve (TXV) cannot be lifted on request, coolant cannot be delivered to the condenser to start the process of reducing the internal temperature of the vehicle.
