The master cylinder converts the small amount of pressure you apply to the brake pedal into a high level of hydraulic pressure. This allows you to stop your wheels at just the right time. When you press down on your brake pedal, it pushes on the primary piston within the master cylinder. This causes pressure to build in the cylinder. The secondary piston then compresses the fluid in the first circuit. When enough pressure builds in the first circuit, fluid starts to flow into the second circuit before moving to your wheels and slowing down your car. The master cylinder is a complex part of your car. Its design gives it precise control over the flow of fluid and makes your brakes more effective. Because it plays such a huge role in your ability to stop your car, you must replace a faulty brake cylinder before getting back behind the wheel. To the find the ideal master cylinder replacement, please fill in your details above.
