The heater motor sits just behind your dashboard. It uses a basic circuit to drive the ventilation fan when you flip the ‘on’ switch. A resistor on the circuit allows you to lower the speed of the fan. The motor may be faulty if you’re suddenly unable to adjust fan speed, or if it stops working completely. In the latter case, we advise checking the fuse before replacing the motor. If the fuse is burnt out, you may just need a new one.
