A regulator limits the voltage passing through your car’s electrical system. A working regulator allows the alternator to safely charge your car battery. This prevents electrical surges that could short circuits or blow lights. A car relay is a type of switch that connects or disconnects circuits when needed. Its job is to lower the amount of current that electrical devices need to work. This stops your car’s battery from going flat. Relays ensure your car’s lighting and security systems work as they should. If the car fails to stay running, then your relay may be faulty. The solenoid valve transfers electricity from the battery to the starter motor. When you turn your ignition, this brings the valve to life. If your car fails to start and all you hear is a strange ‘whirring’ sound, then you may need to replace the solenoid. Need to replace your faulty relay, regulator, or solenoid? Car Parts 4 Less makes it quick, easy and cheap to do just that.
