If the door is jamming or the steering feels clunky, a replacement cable may be the solution. It is often best to have a specialist refit it for you if you are buying it for your own car, since the cables run through very narrow and hidden cavities. If you are doing it yourself, be sure to feed the new one through by attaching it to the end of the old; if you remove the broken one first, it is very difficult to find the right gaps again with the new one.
